Summary
Revolvist is a local-first app. The checklists, templates, archive, reminders and settings you create stay on your device. We do not run servers that store your content, we do not require an account, and we do not track you, show ads, or sell data. The only data that leaves your device does so to deliver two specific features: downloading the public template library, and processing a Premium subscription. Details below.
1. Data stored on your device (we never receive it)
Everything you create in the app is saved locally on your device using the operating system's standard storage:
- Your templates and checklists, and their items
- Your archived (completed) lists and notes
- Your reminder schedules and app settings (theme, language, etc.)
This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it (the in-app "Export data" feature creates a file you control). Deleting the app, or using "Reset state" in the app, removes this data from your device.
2. Data processed to provide specific features
a) Template Library (content delivery)
The app downloads a small, public catalogue of official templates (library.json) from a content-delivery network (jsDelivr, serving a public GitHub repository). To deliver this file, the CDN necessarily processes standard request information such as your IP address and device/user-agent metadata, as any web request does. We do not receive, store, or have access to this information. No personal data of yours is sent in these requests.
b) Premium subscription (in-app purchase)
If you purchase a Premium subscription, the purchase is processed by Apple (App Store) and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription-management provider. For this purpose:
- Apple processes your payment under Apple's own privacy policy. We never see
your payment details (card number, etc.).
- RevenueCat receives purchase/receipt information and a randomly generated,
anonymous app-user identifier so it can verify, restore, and manage your subscription across your devices. This identifier is not your name, email, or Apple ID. RevenueCat may also process limited technical/device information and your IP address as part of providing this service.
We use this only to unlock Premium features and let you restore purchases. See RevenueCat's privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy and Apple's privacy policy: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
c) Reminders (notifications)
Premium reminders are scheduled locally on your device by the operating system. No push tokens, reminder content, or schedules are sent to us or any third party. You can grant or revoke notification permission at any time in your device settings.
d) Device language
The app reads your device's language setting locally to display the right translation. This is not transmitted anywhere.
3. What we do NOT collect or do
- No user accounts, sign-in, name, email, or phone number
- No analytics, telemetry, crash tracking, or advertising SDKs
- No tracking across apps or websites; no advertising identifiers
- No access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera
- We never sell or rent any data
4. Third-party services
| Service | Purpose | Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store | App distribution & payments | https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy |
| jsDelivr (CDN) | Delivering the public template library | https://www.jsdelivr.com/terms/privacy-policy-jsdelivr-net |
These providers may process data outside your country (e.g. in the United States). Where applicable, such transfers rely on the providers' own safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
5. Data retention
- On-device data: kept until you delete it (via "Reset state" or by
uninstalling the app). We hold no copy.
- Purchase records: retained by Apple and RevenueCat according to their own
policies, for as long as needed to provide and account for the subscription.
6. Your rights (GDPR / EU users)
Because your content lives only on your device, you are in direct control of it: you can view, edit, export ("Export data"), and erase ("Reset state" or uninstall) it at any time, without contacting us.
For data held by our processors (purchase records at Apple/RevenueCat) you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection under the GDPR. To exercise these, or for any privacy question, contact us at support@revolvist.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Italy, the *Garante per la protezione dei dati personali*).
7. Children
Revolvist is not directed to children and is not intended for use by children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here.
